Based on your knowledge of this ancient civilization, what do you feel archaeologists would learn about the Harappans if they could read Harappan writing? Can you identify any similarities and differences between Harappan writing and Cuneiform? If so, tell what they are.

During the past few weeks we have been exploring the Harappan civilization, which centered around two major cities: Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro. Although they were miles apart from each other, they were both good examples of what planned communities or cities built to a definite plan looked like. Both contained many small buildings, which served as homes and shops. Each city had its own Citadel or fortress that stood on a mound high above the rest of the buildings. Last week, we began our web quest on the land and people who occupied the city of Mohenjo-Daro. Is there anything new you have learned about the city or the people who once occupied it?
